New Choices
Provides assistance in creating a plan for self-sufficiency and offers support and encouragement during times of transition.

Working Women’s Wednesdays
Now in its tenth year, this exciting monthly luncheon series presents interesting speakers, inspiring messages and valuable networking opportunities.

Growing Up and Liking It for Girls
Workshop on puberty promoting parent-child communication is offered for mothers & daughters (ages 9-12).  This two-hour discussion is meant to explain the changes our bodies go through in a non-embarrasing way. Taught by Amanda Tapler, this is one of our most popular programs.

Groups and Clubs for Our Members

BookWomen
A WRC members’ group that meets monthly to discuss books selected by participants. A great selection of books and varying genres keeps the discusions interesting and fun.  View a list of the books read by our BookWomen group.

Theatre Group
If you would like to receive a monthly e-mail letter showing the possible plays members might attend, please contact the WRC at 227-6900.

Hiking Club
Join us on monthly hikes in beautiful areas in and outside Alamance County. Our hiking trips have taken us to Pilot Mountain, Eno River State Park and Lake Michael, to name a few.
